Nancy graduated from Mesa State College in 1992, earning a BA in Psychology. Nancy worked at St. Mary’s Hospital as a Mental Health Counselor on 2N and 3E from 1992-2006.
Nothing gave Nancy more joy than taking her family on picnics (during any season!), spending time with her children and grandchildren, and sharing quiet time with her husband, Dave. Nancy was the ultimate caregiver, always sharing joy and repeating her favorite phrase, “Smile on your face! Song in your heart!” Nancy was a voracious fan of literature and enjoyed crocheting and never turned down a rowdy lunch with friends.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Dave Dostaler; daughter, Christine Dostaler of Grand Junction; her son, David Dostaler and wife Lori of Castle Rock, Colo.; and son, John Dostaler of Denver; six grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren. Nancy also leaves behind brothers, Gerald Fischbach and Fred Fischbach; and sisters, Trudy Krejcarek, Janet Dowden, and Marilyn Krantz.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Ruth Fischbach; brothers, John Fischbach and James “Jim” Fischbach.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007 at Callahan-Edfast in Grand Junction. Following the service a celebration of Nancy’s life will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Johnny Carino’s in Grand Junction.
Memorial contributions may be made in Nancy Dostaler’s name to Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Colorado or the American Cancer Society
