This Christmas, Kris Kringle’s trademark saying was attacked in Australia resulting in Santas leaving their job.
Reports state that a recruitment firm called Westaff, which supplies hundreds of Santas to Australia stores, was cracking down on the foul language of its employees. The company, which is also in the United States, decided their Santas could no longer say “ho, ho, ho.” They preferred them to say “ha, ha, ha.”

The company’s reasoning is that the phase, “ho, ho, ho,” is too close to the American slang for prostitute – in this case three prostitutes – therefore is derogatory to women. They also said it scares the kids.
The new rule has sent the Santas packing, not wanting to be ridiculously censored.
In a November Fox News report, Julie Gale, who runs Kids Free 2B Kids, a campaign against sexualizing children, was stated saying, “Gimme a break. We are talking about little kids who do not understand that ‘ho, ho, ho’ has any other connotation, and nor should they.”
We agree – political correctness has gone so far that Santa can’t even do his job.
As far as this issue even being a problem, “ha, ha, ha.”
