MONTROSE — Montrose County Commissioners announced the appointment of Dianna Jagiello and Debi Harmon to the Montrose Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees today during their board meeting.

Commissioners interviewed 13 candidates for the two vacant positions over the last month. To be eligible, candidates had to be Montrose County residents.

Jagiello is currently the director of health promotion and community outreach for Mesa County Health Department. Prior, she was the nurse family partnership supervisor for Mesa County Health Department. She has experience with Rocky Mountain Health Plans and was care center manager at MMH from 1997 to 2002, according to a news release.

Jagiello will serve on the board until the second Tuesday of January 2011.

Harmon is a realtor and moved to Montrose two years ago from Craig, Colo. She has a financial management background, along with experience in recruiting and retaining health care providers.

"A powerful piece of my background is my knowledge with integrated health care delivery systems in rural settings," she said.

In Craig, Harmon had to collaborate oral, mental and medical health together in a hospital that is now serving five counties. She was executive director of a dental clinic she helped establish and has a strong grant writing background, she said.

She will serve until the second Tuesday of January 2013.
