GRAND JUNCTION — Donald O’Rourke passed away on March 31, 2008. He was born in Telluride, Colo. to Donald A. and Francis R. O’Rourke. He attended schools in Telluride and Gunnison, Colo.

Donald’s achievements were many; he served as chief of the Telluride Fire Department, San Miguel County civil defense director and Exalted Ruler of Telluride Elks Lodge No. 692. But Donald considered his 51-year marriage and raising his two children the most rewarding achievement of all.
Donald is survived by his wife, Darlene; his two children, John (Linda) and Doni of Grand Junction. Surviving also are three brothers, Gerald W. O’Rourke of Grand Junction, Richard M. O’Rourke of Pueblo, John L. O’Rourke of Centennial and one aunt, Elizabeth Armerding of California and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding Don in death are his parents, Donald A. and Francis R. O’Rourke and his sister, Patricia L. Kinman.
As Donald requested, no services will be held. Memorial contributions may be given to an organization of one’s choice.
