Anne Rezny Grigutis

MONTROSE — Anne Rezny Grigutis, age 86, of Montrose, passed away Sunday morning, April 6, 2008 at Montrose Memorial Hospital.

Anne was born July 19, 1921 to Louis and Mildred (Gaspar) Rezny in Malacky, Czechoslovakia.  She spent her childhood in Long Island, N.Y. and graduated from high school in Hewlet, Long Island, N.Y.  Anne resided in Glenwood Springs, Colo. then moved to Redstone, Colo., where she owned and operated the Trade Castle for many years prior to moving to Montrose a few years ago. 

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Montrose.

Anne enjoyed various jewelry styles and had a great love for traveling, which she spent time doing over the years.

Anne is survived by cousins, Louise Dalzell of Alabama, Ed and Bob Hessek of Denver, Elaine and Bob Rezny of Long Island. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Patricia; brothers, Joe and Louis Rezny.

A rosary will be recited on Thursday, April 10, 2008, at 10 a.m., at St. Mary Catholic Church in Montrose, Colo. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 10, following the rosary, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow the Mass at Grand View Cemetery.
