Monk Thinley works on creating this vibrant work of art one grain of sand at a time. The Tibetan sand mandala being constructed at the Ute Indian Museum symbolizes the "deity" of wisdom and peace, Video clip interviews with Geshe Phuntsok, spiritual director of the Asanga Institute in Montrose, and C.J. Brafford, director of the Ute Indian Museum.
Joel Blocker / Daily Press Tibetan Monk Thinley begins the final touches on the Tibetan sand mandala being constructed at the Ute Indian Museum Wednesday morning. Thinley, who studied for a year in the proper techniques of making a sand mandala, began the project on April 25th, and will complete it today.
