MONTE VISTA — Bobbie Florence (Craig) Weber, 91, formerly of Garden City, Kan., passed away Feb. 25, 2008 at Juniper Village in Monte Vista, Colo. She was born Nov. 9, 1916 in Garden City to Robert and Ottie (Martin) Craig. She attended Lincoln Country School, Garden City High School and Garden City Community College. She was a member of The Community Congregational Church and had taught Sunday school there.
She was united in marriage to John Weber on Nov. 19, 1948 and afterward moved to Montrose, Colo. After the death of her husband, she returned to Garden City and was employed by Farm Credit until her retirement. She loved helping others and did volunteer work at various places, including St. Catherine’s Hospital.

Bobbie is survived by two sons, John Robert (Judy) Weber of Wichita, Kan., Gary (Rita) Weber of Wakeeney, Kan.; and daughter, Bette (Rick) Barnett of South Fork, Colo.; grandsons, Braxten Brattin, Amarillo, Texas, Derek Brattin, Denton, Texas, Jacob Weber, Wakeeney, Kan.; and three great-grandchildren. She cherished her loving step-family, including sons, Russell and Don Weber and daughter, Joan Garner; grandchildren, Summer, April, Kristen, Heidi, Ed, Richard, Ken, Clay, David, Greg, Jana, Randy and Mike. She had 26 precious great and great-great step- grandchildren.
Bobbie is also survived by brothers, John Martin Craig, Topeka, Kan., Richard Craig, Sun Lake, Ariz., Virgil and Grover Craig, Garden City; and sisters, Bettie Clemann, Garden City, and Ruphell Pilcher, Rogers, Alaska.
Cremation was chosen and a celebration of her life will be held at the Montrose Christian Church on Friday, June 27, 2008 at 10 a.m., where she will be laid to rest beside her husband. Memorials in her name have been established at Friends of Lee Richardson Zoo, P.O. Box 1638, Garden City, KS 67846 and Community Congregational Church of Garden City, c/o Strohmayer’s Funeral Home, 205 S. Broadway, Monte Vista, CO 81144.
