She spent her childhood in Olathe and graduated from the Olathe High School in 1956. Jen married Paul Rubalcaba on Nov. 10, 1956 in Montrose, Colo., and he survives. Together they have farmed, gardened and shared 52 wonderful years of marriage in Olathe, Colo. Jen enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
Surviving family members grateful to have shared Jen’s life are her husband, Paul of the family home in Olathe; son, Tim Woolsey; brother, Alex Trujillo of Canon City, Colo; sisters, Priscilla Chavez of Mesa, Ariz., Stella Stewart of Winnemucca, Nev., Anita Whitmore of Carson City, Nev. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ray Trujillo.
A reception for family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2008, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the home of Jen and Paul Rubalcaba in Olathe. Arrangements are under the direction of Crippin Funeral Home and Crematory, 802 E. Main, Montrose, CO 81401 (970) 249-2121.
