On Thursday and Friday, Montrose County Health and Human Services is holding six different “health care affordability workshops.” The workshops’ objective is to help households budget for health insurance.

To complete the budget survey, participants need to bring pay stubs and bills related to essential expenses, such as housing, transportation, debt and household bills.
To register for a workshop, call 252-5012. The sessions are Thursday, Aug. 14 from 9 to 11 a.m., 1 to 3 p.m., and 6 to 7:30 p.m.; Friday, Aug. 15 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. All sessions are at MCHHS, 1845 S. The workshops are an opportunity for the public to help inform policymakers and the public about health care affordability, according to Colorado Voices for Coverage.
