Deborah J. Murray

GRAND JUNCTION — Deborah J. Murray of Lincoln, Neb. passed away late Thursday morning, Aug. 14, 2008 at St. Mary’s Hospital and Medical Center, in Grand Junction, Colo.

Deborah was born Sept. 28, 1955 in Poplar, Mont. to William B. and Maxine J. (Bolstad) Murray. Deborah spent her childhood in Montana, graduating from Glasgow High School in Glasgow, Mont. in 1973. She attended Northeast Community College receiving her degree to work in the medical secretary field, which she loved.

As well as Montana, Deborah also lived in South Dakota, and Lincoln, which is where she lived until the time of her death.

Deborah worked as a Unit Secretary for the Labor and Delivery Ward at St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center in Lincoln, Neb. She adored her job and the people she worked with.

Deborah was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Lincoln.

Deborah enjoyed the great outdoors; she had a passion for billiards, and was a member of VNEA Pool leagues. At one time she won the Women’s Masters in Lincoln.

Deborah also enjoyed and adored her family. Out of four children she was the only girl, as her brother’s mention, “she might have been the only girl in the family but she she could hold her own!”

Survivors blessed to share Deborah’s life are her beloved son, Tanner Lee of Lincoln; her parents, William and Maxine Murray of Montrose, Colo.; her treasured brothers, Todd Murray and wife Jenae of Avondale, Ariz., Kelly Murray and wife Lisa of Castlerock, Colo., and Timothy Murray and wife Zida of Montrose. She also leaves nieces and nephews, Sean, Jason, Kelsey and Heather, (Kelly and Lisa); Alexis (Todd and Jenae); Nicolas and Sydney (Tim and Zida); and Aubrey Lee (Jim and Diane Lee).

A memorial service to honor and remember Deborah’s life will be held Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008, at 11 a.m., at Faith Lutheran Church, 8701 Adams St., Lincoln, NE 68507.

Memorial contributions, in loving memory of Deborah, may be made to Lincoln Pet Partners Inc. 3421 C Street, Lincoln, NE 68510, an organization that brings pets into the hospitals of Lincoln to assist with patient therapy. Deborah thought very highly of this organization.
