SILT — The Lady Pirates volleyball squad didn't have enough to get a win on Friday against Coal Ridge. Olathe lost in four sets, losing the first 25-11, the second 25-22, winning the third 25-22 and losing the final set 25-15.
Olathe head volleyball coach Dan Rosentreter said the girls did a great job on defense by not letting a lot of balls drop, but couldn't get it done offensively.
"We just couldn't get a lot of balls down on offense to score," Rosentreter said.
Olathe's Jessica Byers led the Lady Pirates with seven kills and three blocks. Olathe's Morgan Stansberry followed with 22 digs.
The Lady Pirates next play at 6 p.m. on Tuesday against Basalt in Olathe.
