DURANGO — The Montrose soccer team came home from its road trip with two more victories. After defeating Cortez on Friday, the Indians turned around on Saturday morning and beat Durango 2-1.
Montrose head coach Jim Lewis said the Indians played a solid game in the first half, but struggled in the second.

"It was a monster of a shot," Lewis said. "Steven shot off a rocket."
Montrose was up 2-0 at the half.
Durango came out firing in the second half, but was unable to find success thanks to Montrose goalkeeper Rob McLaren, who blocked multiple shots attempts by Durango.
Lewis said the Indians played a good game, despite some mistakes.
"We played a solid game and took it to them," Lewis said. "We made some tactical mistakes, but will fix that."
Montrose beat Durango after losing to them the past two years. The Indians next play at 5 p.m. against Fruita in Montrose on Tuesday.
