Aug. 27, 2008 - Montrose, Colo.

Hank was devoted to God, his country and his family. He graduated with honors from West High School, Denver and Regis College, Class of 1943.  After graduation, he began active duty in the Navy and became, at 22 years old, captain of a mine sweeper in the Pacific Theatre. He was honorably discharged in 1946. He returned to Denver to marry the love of his life, Marguerite (Brown) and raise their three sons, John, Paul and Mark. He was proud of their accomplishments and cherished their wives Kathryn, Deborah and Susan. He was especially devoted to his grandchildren, Catherine, Cassandra, Thomas, Andrew and Margaret.

He was a pipeline engineer with Amoco for 36 years in Denver and later in Chicago, Ill. where the family lived for many years. He and Marguerite retired to Colorado Springs where they were active in St. Joseph Parish and where they had many dear friends and cherished memories.

In addition to his immediate family, Hank is survived by his dear cousins, Sr. Johanna, OSB, Don and Jerry Joyce; beloved nieces, Jeanette Brown Olsen (Dick) of Florida, Katherine Brown Snyder (Tony) of Colorado; and nephew, Thomas Brown (Yvonne) of Arizona.
