Montrose followed it up with 2:28 left in the first, when Robertson ran from 6 yards out for a touchdown. With Hedrick's extra point, MHS was up 10-0. It only got worse for Central, who fumbled on the first play of their next drive. Montrose recovered and wasted no time.
Robertson led the way, connecting with Hedrick on Central's 20-yard line and Glayden Berry drove the ball for a touchdown from 3 yards out with 57.9 seconds left in the first. The scored left Montrose leading 17-0 after one.
The second quarter only brought more dominance by Montrose. Montrose's Jordan Passehl ran 40 yards for touchdown with 10:35 left in the half.
The Indians followed with another score later as Robertson connected with Mac Alexander for a 65-yard touchdown pass.
Montrose took a 31-0 advantage into the halftime break.
Montrose head coach Todd Casebier said he was impressed with the team's first half performance.
"Nothing more could go right," Casebier said. "It's the best half of football we've played this season and that says something, because we have been playing pretty good."
MHS went scoreless in third, and Central gained a little momentum when they finally stopped MHS on a fourth and one key play on Central's 26-yard line. However, all momentum was lost when Mac Alexander intercepted a pass on a Central drive with 1:27 left in the third.
Montrose got back to scoring in the fourth as Robertson dodged multiple Warriors to run 62 yards for a touchdown with 10:23 left in the game. It gave MHS a 38-0 lead.
Central finally put points on the board when Warriors' quarterback Holden Reed ran 38 yards for touchdown with 8:59 left.
