MONTROSE — Former Montrose resident and beloved educator, Elizabeth Jane Weichselbaum, age 64, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008. Elizabeth Jane Weichselbaum was born June 7, 1944.
Elizabeth was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in October of 2007. Like always, she faced this battle with courage, strength and an amazing sense of humor. In the end, like in her life, she was able to leave on her own terms. Her friends and loved ones are left with the inspiration, laughs, stories and memories that were shaped under the influence of “Lizzy.” Elizabeth, “Lizzy”, “Wax”, “Crabby” Weichselbaum was a teacher, friend and mother that made a difference in every life that she touched. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren, teaching and all of her friends. She will be sorely missed by everyone she knew.
