MONTROSE — Samuel C. Kendrick Jr. passed away in his sleep on Nov. 26, 2008. He was born April 27, 1921 in Knoxville, Tenn. Sam served in the Airforce during World War II as B-26 pilot. He retired as an advertising executive with First Interstate Bank in Albuquerque, N.M. Sam was an avid reader, tennis player and artist. A member of the Montrose Art Guild since 2000, Sam was also one of the founders and a past president of the Grand Junction Pastel Society. He was well known for his charm and wit and will be sadly missed at family gatherings.
He leaves behind wife, Patricia R. Kendrick; son, Samuel C. Kendrick III (Laura) of Montrose; daughters, Marialice Klein (Rick) of Park City, Utah, Kathleen Von Stein of Denver, Colo.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
