Mountain lion sighting

MONTROSE — Montrose Animal Services and Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) personnel have confirmed the presence of a mountain lion in the area of Crestview Drive in south Montrose. 

While mountain lion attacks are rare, this public safety advisory is being provided to encourage residents in the area to exercise appropriate caution.  Any mountain lion sightings should be reported to the DOW at 252-6000 or to the city of Montrose at 240-1487.
