Winter weather has arrived earlier than the official start of winter. The Montrose Animal Protection Agency would like to remind pet owners to bring their pets indoors at night, or to provide for them a dry and warm shelter. Some animals can easily freeze to death if left unattended and out in the bitterly cold nights.
MAPA also says to provide pets with fresh, unfrozen water. Animals cannot ingest enough moisture from eating snow, or licking ice.
