ICE investigators acted on information that people designated as fugitive aliens were in several Colorado cities, including Montrose.
Agency spokesman Carl Rusnok confirmed ICE arrested two men in Montrose, but on Friday could not immediately provide additional information about their cases or the circumstances of their capture.

ICE's specially trained fugitive operation teams are dedicated solely to targeting aliens who have been ordered to leave by a federal immigration judge, but who have refused to comply.
"We don't just go into neighborhoods and start knocking on doors," Rusnok said. "We know we have specific individuals and locations that we are targeting."
The special operation began Jan. 27. Overall, ICE nabbed 28 fugitive aliens and 17 non-fugitive immigration violators who were discovered during the course of investigations.
Of the 28 with criminal convictions, at least three had been convicted of sex offenses.
In a news release, ICE identified these individuals as José Luis Fajardo, 46, who was convicted of sex assault on a child by one in a position of trust; Ana Isabel Jaimes-Ocampo, who was convicted of sex assault on a child and Bladimir Cruz-Renteria, who was convicted of misdemeanor sex assault on a 9-year-old girl.
All three were arrested in Denver.
In addition to Denver and Montrose, ICE also made arrests in the Colorado cities of Greeley, Fort Collins, Longmont, Eaton, Loveland and Platteville. Other arrests were in Rock Springs, Wyo.
"Our ICE Fugitive Operations Teams remove criminal aliens from the streets and they enhance the integrity of the immigration system," ICE Field Director John Longshore said in the news release. Longshore directs the Denver office for Detention and Removal Operations.
Nationwide for fiscal year 2008, ICE's national fugitive ops team made 34,100 arrests, including 25,800 fugitives. The ops team run through the Denver ICE office arrested 571 during FY 2008, of which 453 were fugitive aliens.
"Up until May of 2007, the number of fugitive aliens in this country had continued to increase year after year," Rusnok said. "2007 was the first year it began to decline, due in part to the fugitive operation teams."
