Midwifery opens in Montrose

MONTROSE — Mountain Birth Midwifery has opened it’s new office at 310 S. Ninth Street in the Uncompahgre Yoga Circle Building. To celebrate the opening, it is offering free pregnancy tests and initial consultations. Appointments and more information can be obtained at (970) 708-1298.

Help having health babies

MONTROSE — Hilltop’s Uncompahgre Parental Program provides education, referrals and access to prenatal health care services to uninsured pregnant women in Montrose County. It is modeled after Hilltop’s B4 Babies & Beyond program and helps parents enroll in public health insurance programs. It works close with the Nurse-Family Partnership. Volunteer info night at Heirlooms

MONTROSE — Heirlooms for Hospice, an upscale resale shop in Montrose, is hosting a volunteer information night for anyone interested.

The session will be held at Heirlooms, 435 E. Main St., on Monday, Feb. 16 at 5:30 p.m.; training will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 18 at 10 a.m. until noon.

Tickets now on sale

MONTROSE — Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Colorado will host The Party on Saturday, Feb. 21 at the Montrose Pavilion. Tickets are now on sale for the limited-seating engagement.

A champagne reception and silent auction will begin at 6:30 p.m., dinner at 7:30 p.m. and dancing to the music of Boogie Machine at 9:00 p.m. The event will also feature a live auction. The theme for this year’s formal event is Paradise Found, an Evening in the Islands.

All proceeds will support the mission of Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Colorado.
