MONTROSE — Timothy Lee “Tim” Schuette, age 50, passed away with his family by his side on Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 11, 2009, at Montrose Memorial Hospital in Montrose, Colo. after a lengthy battle with ALS.
Tim was born on Sept. 24, 1958 to LeRoy H. and Phyllis M. (Coker) Schuette in Lawton, Okla. where his dad was stationed in the Army. He started school at Dodge City, Kan. and then moved to Garden City, Kan., and in 1970 moved to Guymon, Okla. where he graduated from high school in 1976. After graduation Tim worked at Farr Better Feeds in Guymon as a Mill Operator.

He moved to Montrose, Colo. in 2005 from Liberal, Kan. where he had been working as a maintenance man for National Beef. In Montrose, Tim worked in the electrical department at Home Depot.
In his past, he loved to go fishing, take drives to see the beautiful countryside of Colorado and enjoyed watching television, especially old movies and programs.
Tim will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his parents, LeRoy and Phyllis Schuette of Montrose, Colo.; three sons, Devin Lee Schuette who is stationed in Iraq but based out of Fort Hood, Texas and his wife Tannie, Justin Edward Schuette of Oklahoma City, Okla. and his wife Jennifer, and Kyle Thomas Schuette of Clovis, N.M. and his wife Sammie; six grandchildren; two brothers, Larry Schuette of Boise City, Okla., and Les Schuette of Guymon, Okla.; two sisters, Brenda Behne of Spring, Texas and her husband Mike, and Cathy Yeaman of Norman, Okla. and her husband Michael; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Tim was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made in Memory of Tim Schuette to the ALS Association, 1201 East Colfax Ave. Suite 202, Denver, CO 80218 or Alpine Home Health & Hospice, 843 South 3rd St., Montrose, CO 81401. A special thanks goes out to Liz, who works for Alpine Home Health & Hospice.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
