MONTROSE — Jaime Leigh Edwards passed away at home on Thursday, March 12, 2009. Her beauty was seen by all in everything she did, and so many hearts have been touched during her time here.
Jaime was born on March 17, 1976 in Friend, Neb. to proud parents, Virg and Willa Edwards. She graduated from Friend Public High School in 1994, and had so many wonderful friends and experiences here. She then attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she studied nursing and was in the Air Force ROTC program for four years. Jaime graduated with a degree in nursing and became a very accomplished medical professional. She worked at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Neb. before transferring to Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colo. in 1999. She then moved to Montrose, Colo. in 2004 and practiced nursing at Montrose Memorial Hospital. She was an amazing caregiver.

Surviving family members include her father, Virg Edwards, of Montrose, Colo. and her sister; Chaucey Edwards, of Boulder, Colo. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Wilbur and Luella Hinrichs, her grandmother, Grace Collins and her mother, Willa Edwards.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial will be established in her name. All thoughts may me sent to the family at 2756 Stoney Creek Lane, Montrose, CO 81401. In lieu of flowers, all memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Colorado, PO Box 1804, Montrose, CO, 81402.
