Bernetta Rundberg July 29, 1922 — March 17, 2009 OLATHE — Bernetta Rundberg passed away Tuesday evening, March 17, 2009, at Colorow Care Center in Olathe. Bernetta was born July 29, 1922 to Fred and Della (Wilson) Booth in Palmer, Kan. She spent her childhood and received her education in Kansas. She married Richard Rundberg on Sept. 27, 1941 in Concordia, Kan. He preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 1996 in Olathe. Bernetta and Richard had previously lived in San Diego, Calif. where Richard served his country in the United States Navy. Following his honorable discharge, they relocated to Lynn, Kan. where their son, Donald, was born. They soon returned to Colorado, settling in Delta. From Delta, Bernetta’s family returned to Olathe and made their home until Bernetta’s time of death. She enjoyed arts and crafts in her younger years, especially sewing. Family was always very special to Bernetta; she loved spending time with her granddaughter. Survivors include her son, Donald and wife Myrnice Rundberg of Olathe, Colo; granddaughter, Sharil Barthelmas-Rundberg and husband Christopher of Olathe; two great-grandchildren, Xander and Keyin. Bernetta was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two half sisters. A public visitation for family and friends was held on Thursday, March 19, 2009, from 4 to 6 p.m., at Crippin Funeral Home. Graveside services are scheduled for Friday, March 20, 2009, at 3 p.m., at Olathe Cemetery in Olathe, Colo. with Pastor Paul Nystrom officiating. Special music will be sung by Pastor Paul.
