James ‘Jim’ William Clark Jr.

Aug. 14, 1947 — March 30, 2009

MONTROSE — James "Jim" William Clark Jr. was born Aug. 14, 1947 to James William and Lois (Beaty) Clark in Moultrie, Ga. Jim spent his childhood and received his education in Georgia and graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.M.A. After graduation, Jim traveled east of the Mississippi for a Livestock Marketing Association. He came to Log Hill Village in Ridgway, Colo. in 1976 as a general manager but then moved to Denver as C.E.O of the Colorado Beef Council. He married Lorraine Venezio Jan. 12, 1980 in Denver, Colo. Jim and Lorraine relocated to Montrose, Colo., in February 2002, and Jim was currently working as a Realtor with Coldwell Banker and Co.

Jim loved sports and playing golf. He loved people and conversation. Jim brought laughter to every room he entered. His glorious smile and loving disposition were contagious to all who knew him. Jim leaves his imprint on all those he influenced while he fulfilled his special place in this world. 

Loving survivors include his wife, Lorraine of Montrose; step-son, Randy (Penny) Leonard of Montrose; step-daughters, Lynette (Gary) Bean of Montrose, Rona (Bud) Lewis of Centennial, Paula Adamson of Scottsdale, Ariz.; brother, Leslie (Annette) Clark; sisters, Rebecca (Louie) Perry of Moultrie, Ga., Barbara (Leck) Clark Mansfield of Atlanta, Ga.; eight grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to: The Boys and Girls Club, In Mmemory of Jim Clark, c/o Gary Bean, 4033 Waterfall Drive, Montrose, CO 81401. A memorial service in celebration of Jim’s life will be held on at 2 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2009, at Grace Community Church on Woodgate Road in Montrose. Arrangements are under the direction of Crippin Funeral Home & Crematory, 802 E. Main, Montrose, CO 81401 (970) 249-2121.
