Naoma Colleen Sperry Naoma Colleen Sperry May 11, 1932 — April 25, 2009 DELTA — Longtime Delta resident Naoma C. Sperry passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2009, at the Montrose Memorial Hospital. She was 76. No services are planed at this time. A memorial service may be held at a later date. Naoma Colleen was born on May 11, 1932 to Rush and Olga (Richardson) Herd in Delta, Colo. She spent her childhood and attended schools in Delta. Naoma married Kenneth Vance in Delta, Colo. He preceded her in death. Naoma married Robert Jackson Allen in Delta, Colo. He preceded her in death. In February of 1973, Naoma married Lee W. Sperry in Delta, Colo. He preceded her in death on Dec. 21, 2001. Naoma was a loving wife and mother. She had a life long love of music and among her many talents she played the piano, the organ and the accordion. She enjoyed oil painting, various crafts and rock hunting. She will be greatly missed by her beloved family and close friends. Naoma is survived by her only daughter, Lloyal and her husband Richard “Andy” Anderson of Delta, Colo.; three step-sons: Bill Allen, Brian Sperry and Joe Sperry; three step-daughters: Vera McDougal, Betty Jo Wiles and Wilma Jean Scheibeler; one sister-in-law, Loretta Herd of Grand Junction, Colo.; and two nephews, Rick Herd of Arizona and Baily Herd of Grand Junction, Colo. Naoma is further survived by two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren. Naoma was preceded in death by her parents, Rush and Olga Herd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Naoma’s name to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
