Come out tonight!

Tonight, join your fellow citizens in the annual summer kickoff – Main in Motion. Now in it’s ninth season, it speaks volumes about Montrose. Friendly, neighborly people sharing sidewalks, dining in restaurants, checking out the live music, reviewing exhibits. Or, just hanging out and catching up with friends.

People move “up and down” Main Street during these summer hours (6 p.m. to 8:30, Thursdays) to take it all in. In 2003, our Main in Motion won the Governor’s Award for Downtown Excellence.

Here’s a few to thank, among many other volunteers:

• Sponsorships: Phuong Nguyen, Lu Anne Tyrrell.

• Music: Kendra Gallegos-Morrow, Yvonne Meek.

• Art/Vendors: Pat Brown.

• Graphics/Printing: John Trainor

• Volunteers/info: Julie Messenger, Montrose Area Merchants Association.

There’s only 13 Thursdays. Enjoy them! See you downtown.
