Most are unaware of whats going on with the USDAs plan to implement a program called National Animal Identification System. This plan will will eliminate small family farms with expenses and red tape, and most  small family farms will not be able to afford the time and expense to comply with regulations.

There are 3 phases involved, 1st is to register farm as a premiss, 2nd is microchipping 33 different species of livestock, including dogs and cats, even chickens, 3rd phase involves scanning and reporting all movement of livestock, including sales, deaths, movement of any kind including if you ride your horse off your property, everytime, it must be reported or face large fines.

Large factory farms are exempt from regluations. Another example of the corruption in the USDA , thats in bed with the corprate factory farms that want complete control of our food source with there modified, processed, preserved, factory farmed foods that cause many potential health problems so the chemdrug industry can also benifit from chemdrugs profits from an unhealthy, unknowing public..

Despite major opposition, they are relentless in there efforts to register all farms and even use tactics such as blackmail to get farms to comply. Some farmers in order to recieve federal drought relief funds had to register, forcing compliance and even FFA  kids in some states must register to participate in FFA activities.

This is not for we the people, more for profit of, and control by factory farms, the microchip industry, the scanners, fees, red tape, time spent complying with,  will put most small farms out of bussiness, just what they want.

They say its necessary to track the source of any possible problems associated in our foods production, but the large factory farms are exempt, and thats where over  90% of food contaminations occur, mostly during processing in slaughterhouses, which if you knew what went on probaly would not eat factory raised produce again. So what good would it do to supress with expenses, hassles, when in general, the small farms whos practices and produce  are much safer than the non complying factory farms? If you bought a chicken from a local farmer and got sick, you know where it came from so why all the expense and red tape?

This type of intervention by our govt. scares all us small family farmers, by threatening our lifestyle. For generations we   have worked hard on our family farms not for profit, but more for love of land and lifestyle. When we fear the Govt., we are lost as a country, the Govt should be for whats best for we the people and we the people should not be fearful, they are the ones who should fear us, and do whats best for  WE the people not they the corprate corrupt industries such as Monsanto, Cargill and all the rest in bed with the crimminals who run the show. Thats right they are criminals when this is allowed to happen in this country which should be of, by ,and for we the people. Lets not forget what this country should be about. For more info. go to Nonais.com and educate yourselfs as to whats up,  with this NAIS.

If this is alowed who knows you may be next in line for a microchip as well...Peaceoutchickenman

Could be why they want us to eat their factory raised processed preserved so called food, peaceoutchickrenman "

Join a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). Take the power away from ConAgra, Monsanto, etc. with your dollar. The problem they will have with all this is enforcement... if enough of us support the small farms then they will thrive. "

You should be much more concerned about "gray water" restrictions which prohibit recycling "used" water.

Then there is your seed supply! "

The way to a reasonable system is NOT to stand up and scream, "the government is an infernal system run by fiends from underworld".

Talk WITH the CSU folks and Rep. Salazar. "

" This has been happening for a few years. The 4-H program in Colorado has been trying to get this started with the kids. A few years ago they told the members that they would have to obtain premiss permits for the property where the animals were kept. They met alot of resistance and nothing has been said about it for awhile. I also know of a few ranches in the area that have mico-chipped their cattle. So this is already well on it's way. "

" The bill to force us to register gardens actually came 1st, a month ago. German Jews said, "It can't happen here". Look up Senate Bill 787, Feds. claim ALL water, “runoff from your roof” and “Pot Holes”. We are being drowned by a New Government that’s shooting new laws, so fast, nobody can read them all until they are passed and our freedom is past. This same New Government is trying to silence those that dare to read the Unconstitutional new "laws" on the radio. "

Well, rain water that you catch off your roof and any pot holes that have water in them are fair game, House bill 787. Also backyard gardens are under attack as well. Come on, this isn't the good old U.S.A. any more. More like Russia and Germany now a days. "

" There are a few minor corrections to Chickenman's letter.
NAIS does not track dogs or cats because they are not classified as livestock.
Trailriding is not a reportable event if you don't "commingle" with horses from other farms.
Factory farms are not exempt, but they do have an unfair advantage. They can use lot numbers instead of individual ID and they already have employees who track their supply chain. Small farms don't qualify for group ID and must do all the work themselves. "
