Mesa State offers quick solution to earning business certificate By Matt LindbergDaily Press Writer MONTROSE — Those short on time and looking for success in the business world are in luck. Mesa State College’s Department of Business is offering two new certificate programs to help advance business careers, which can be earned in four months. The program involves mostly online work, with three sessions required in a classroom at the Grand Junction campus for presentations and group work. Each certificate is composed of nine credit hours and participants have the option to earn a supervision certificate or a certificate in entrepreneurship. The supervision certificate allows one to develop supervisory skills necessary to operate a business and advance in a career. The entrepreneurship certificate trains a small business owner how to develop a successful business plan and expand. For those who want to learn more, an information session will be held at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday at the Montrose campus of Mesa State, 234 S. Cascade Ave. To attend, you must reserve a seat by calling 249-7009. ——— For the full story, see today's print edition. The online story may not reflect all relevant information that was reported.
