‘Motion’ vendors told no Re: Health concerns, Daily Press, June 27 Imagine my surprise. Riots in Tehran, record unemployment, recession, nuclear threats in Korea, remedial house-training of the Obamas’ new puppy. These all seem worthy of front page news, compared to the scandal and horrendous social impact of local banks giving out free food during a hugely successful downtown event. C’mon. And Mr. Thompson, (Montrose County Environmental Health Manager Richard Thompson) thank you for your zeal, especially in reporting your Nobel-worthy performance to the local newspaper. You must be eagerly awaiting our next parade, and every high school student who has tossed hard candy from a float to the crowd should probably seek legal counsel. And won’t you be busy this Halloween... Bob Tesch Montrose
