A donation account has been set up to help the family with medical expenses.
Vaughn was injured June 29. According to family friends, Calina Baize, 18, was driving a Dodge sports car on Highway 54 outside of Alamogordo, N.M. Vaughn, a 2009 Montrose High School graduate, was in the passenger seat, and his brother, Tim Vaughn, 19, and Rhea Bridwell, 17, were in the back seats. The teens were on their way to pick up friend David Warner and then head to Las Cruces, N.M. for the Warped Tour.

Official reports could not be immediately obtained from the New Mexico State Police.
Jacob and Tim Vaughn were transported to the Alamogordo Hospital where X-rays were taken. Tim received stitches for a large gash on his arm. Jacob was flown to Thomason Hospital in El Paso, Texas, where he underwent reconstructive surgery on his face, Warner said.
Donations to help the Vaughn family are being accepted at San Juan Mountains Credit Union, 249-5319, at 1102 S. Cascade Ave. in Montrose.
