TELLURIDE — Linda Claire Schmid, age 62, a longtime resident of Telluride, Colo., passed away Sunday, July 12, 2009, at her home in Telluride, with her family by her side.  She fought a courageous battle with cancer. Linda was born May 16, 1947 in Pasadena, Calif. to William F. and Clara Lenore (Pyle) White in Pasadena, Calif. Her father was in the military, so the family moved frequently. Linda graduated high school at Winters High School in California, and went on to college at SOC State in California.

She later married Marvin Schmid, and raised their children. The marriage ended, but Marvin continued to be a part of the family. Linda has resided in Telluride for many years and had also been a business owner in Hesperus, Colo. She was a member of the Telluride Christian Fellowship. She had a love for Law. Linda leaves her imprint on all those she influenced while she fulfilled her special place in this world. Her love will always be a part of all we are. We are so thankful to have been loved by Linda.
