MONTROSE — Catherine “Belinda” Fay, age 85, passed away early Wednesday morning, July 22, 2009 at San Juan Living Center.  

Catherine Mary Condotti was born on July 16, 1924 in Ouray, Colo. to parents, Joseph John and Adlena (Sonza) Condotti. She spent her childhood in Ouray, attended schools and grew to adulthood. She married Justin Oliver Fay in Albuquerque, N.M. in 1940. To their union were born four children, Jack, Judy, Deby and Justin Jr. “Bus.” Belinda and Justin had the privilege of sharing 34 years of marriage until his death in Montrose in 1974.

Belinda was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was an amazing cook and adored spending time with her family. Many wonderful memories were cherished during those family dinners and she will be greatly missed by those who loved her. Belinda had a great sense of humor and even though she was stern, she had a twinkle in her eye that everyone loved. She enjoyed traveling with her family.  

Belinda spent a lot of time as a volunteer in the Montrose area at the hospital, the Pavilion and delivering Meals on Wheels.  

Survivors include her beloved children, Jack Fay and wife Karen of Ridgway, Colo.; Judy Holton and husband Ed of Montrose and Deby Kay and husband Bud all of Montrose; nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren along with brother, Joe Condotti and wife Ranvei of Ouray, Colo. and sister, Norma Jean Wilder of Grand Junction, Colo.  

Belinda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Justin Fay; son, Justin “Bus” Fay, Jr. and siblings, Bill Ziller and Eva Clements.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday evening, July 25, 2009, at Sunset Mesa Funeral Directors’ Chapel at 6:30 p.m. A reception for family and friends will follow the service at the chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Montrose Senior Transportation, 1242 East Main Street, Montrose, CO 81401.
