MONTROSE — Frank Anthony Claice Jr., age 65, of Montrose, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009, at St. Mary’s Hospital and Medical Center in Grand Junction, Colo. Frank was born May 22, 1944 to Frank and Delores (Watson) Claice in Denver, Colo. He spent his childhood and received his education in Denver. Frank married Diana Smith on Nov. 19, 1965 in Raton, N.M., and they resided in Denver until 1983, then moved to Montrose where they made their home until Frank’s time of death. Frank was a long haul truck driver for many years, which he enjoyed doing. He enjoyed the outdoors and being in the mountains. Frank and Diana took many day trips on various sightseeing adventures, which they both enjoyed together. Fishing, hunting and spending time with family were also special.
Surviving family members include his wife, Diana of Montrose, Colo; his mother, Delores of Denver, Colo.; three sons, Joseph Claice of Longmont, Colo., John Claice of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Jason Claice of Montrose; three brothers, Larry Claice of Hanna, Wyo., Richard and Victor Claice, both of Denver; and ten grandchildren, Johnny, Michael, Daniel, Emilia, Angelica, Alexandria, Christopher, Jesse, Meagan and William.
