PAONIA — Mary Louise Earles of Paonia, Colo. died peacefully Sunday morning, Sept. 6, 2009 at Colorow Care Center in Olathe, Colo. She was 80 years old.

She married Richard Bracewell in 1949. The marriage ended in divorce in 1960. Mrs. Earles worked as a secretary and social worker. In 1981 she received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. In 1995 she retired and moved to Colorado to be near her daughter. She was an avid reader and in 1973 published a short story, “One Wondrous Year,” in Reader’s Digest.
She is survived by a daughter, Leslie Bracewell, of Paonia, Colo. Mrs. Earles was preceded in death by her sister, Adelia Carey.
Funeral services will take place in Florida.
