Docs question saftey of swine flu vaccine By Dr. BillSomething to consider before you rush off for your shot, or shots.... Before you roll up your sleeve to get that Swine Flu vaccine shot, keep in mind that the doctor who's sticking you with that needle probably opted not to get the shot - because he or she was too afraid of side effects. At least that's the case in Hong Kong where about half of health workers passed on inoculations for the H1N1 virus in the middle of the biggest panic over the would-be pandemic. The reason: they doubted its effectiveness AND its safety. The Hong Kong docs also claimed that they were concerned about the impact that any illness that THEY might contract would have on the nation's ability to respond to a pandemic. But you've got to wonder … what do they know that we don't? Here in the West, the official party line is that all healthcare workers will be among the first to receive the vaccination for Swine Flu since they are the first line of defense against the sickness. But even the British Medical Journal admits that inoculating a nation's healthcare forces will be difficult if these workers "don't believe that vaccine to be safe and effective." Yet one more reason to keep those sleeves rolled down, as well as the fact there not liable for any adverse side effects, in addition to unknowen long term adverse side effects this rapidly tested vaccine was approved under....Dr. Bill
