MONTROSE — Jill Ann Cadez passed away Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009 at her home in Montrose, Colo. after a short battle with cancer.

Jill was born in Casper, Wyo., to Morris and Shirley (Gausman) Labertew. When she was 9, Jill’s family moved to Montrose, where she completed the rest of her schooling, graduating from Montrose High School with the class of 1975.

In 1986, Jill met her husband Stephen Cadez, with whom she spent the rest of her life with.

Jill is survived by her husband Stephen of Montrose; two daughters, Nicole Cadez of Grand Junction, Colo. and Anna Cadez of Northglen, Colo., as well as one precious granddaughter, Tristynn. Jill is also survived by her parents, Morris and Shirley Labertew of Montrose; brothers, Mark (Debbie) Labertew and Michael Labertew both of Montrose.

A Celebration to honor Jill’s life will be held at the Montrose Elks Lodge, Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009 at 1 p.m. A private family inurnment will be held prior to the service at Grand View Cemetery, Serenity Gardens west of Montrose. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in loving memory of Jill Cadez, to Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Colorado, PO Box 1804, Montrose, CO 81402.
