All the empty buildings on main has very little to do with the medians. We can thank the economy for that, not the road. The medians have been on main and towsends for decades and we are still ok, and business's were doing just fine. It's money problems, not street problems. Common sense. The only people that are affected by the medians are the people that are too lazy to walk a block, or turn around so they are going the right direction to get to their destination. Lazy complainers are the only ones so upset "

Doesn't it torque everyone that they are selling this with the lame excuse of public safety? I'm all for making the city beautiful as what it is, but it would be nice if the planners thought this through before they did it. "

That would make any u-turn in that stretch LEGAL. In the state of Colorado U-turn's are illegal only where it is posted or you have an accident while in the process of executing a Legal u-turn. I agree the amount of u-turns will increase but they are not necessarily illegal. Please quit refering to them as ILLEGAL u-turns. "

Turning left OUT of Taco bell has been something of a trouble point for years, and generally an option available in small towns, which Montrose is unfortunately is not. Also, turing left INTO Taco Bell coming from the south has always been risky when you end up face to face in the lane of death with an oncoming driver trying to turn left. That particular area has just become busy enough to need such changes. However, the concrete work that has been done looks terrible!! "

Too many people get in the turn lane blocks too early and accidents occur because they are signaling they are turning right, then they go straight, hitting the car that is turning out!
