Read before you go postal. Joe clearly said that God is a bully saying "do as I say, or burn for it." Which is in fact true. You either follow and obey God or you go to the h-e double hockey sticks.
But then again, you probably read it correctly and were twisting it to fit your need. Kind of like the fake science you post about. "

No need to be so nasty! Just because someone does not agree with you does not mean you need to be so disrespectful. I don't agree with your posts either, but you don't see me bashing you (they actually tend to make me laugh)... although I bet if anyone really did bash you their post would not be posted (oddly yours always seem to be though). I bet there is a reason for that, right MP? "
Joshua wrote on Oct 14, 2009 10:44 AM:
Right on! It's amazing how many people have read the original post and just glossed over that "French scientists have reported" part! Well there’s a completely verifiable and scientifically sound study, right?! Let’s see, no names (so do they really exist), no background on them (are they really scientists), oh and they reported something (where is the data to backup their “report”). Nope, science-smience, just believe whatever someone posts!
And yes, look how many people posted thanking him for this fake science. Sad. "

It's our money and we can spend it as we see fit. Sorry, I don't support any business that conducts itself in a way I don't want to be associated with or encourage. That is my right (since you know, it's my money). Funny, now we all have to eat what Chickenman says and shop where JWeee says or we get insulted. Nice!
And, I don't eat corn. Gets stuck in your teeth. Quite annoying. "

Your saying if we dont believe what you believe well burn? Whos scaring who? Is this the way to steer someone to God thru fear? Isnt God supossed to be about love, compassion ? If your so devout and christlike then who are you to judge and call God a bully? If this is false science, then show us the science that proves God even exists,if you think science is so right then prove it by some scientfic evidence to back your beliefs. "

Oh, that's simple to answer! Because you're not God! I will always defer to Him and His power. However I will stand up to anyone spouting off false science in an attempt to influence people to eat the way you say they should. Not to mention, I have a feeling the other people posting are correct and you directly profit from people eating local organics. "

Of course not! I've actually done the research and read the scientific results from credible institutions. However, many people don't and when someone keeps stating fake (and unsubstantiated) science that anything but organic will hurt or kill you (and your kids), some people start to believe it. That's why you know who keeps posting. It's just the same as political parties using scare tactics to get people to vote for them. Unfortunately that tactic does work… unless people stand up and call the scaremonger out on it. That's all we are doing. "

We did the same thing! I know he must be one of or is associated with some local farm here, so we stopped buying local too. Sad because I love supporting local businesses! But oh well, as much as I want to help locals, I refuse to support anyone that tries to push his agenda on people over and over again (and probably only to his financial benefit). "
Get Real wrote on Oct 13, 2009 12:05 PM:
The “research” (and I use that term loosely) you researched is "French scientists have reported….” That’s not research and therefore there is no way to research it or counter it. But that was probably why you chose those words, right? And I bet those "scientists" (if they exist) work for or are organic vegans that try to push out "research" to further their cause. "

PS: I'm a devout Christian and even I know God's a bully. Do as I say, or burn for it. Granted, it's in our best interest, but to give free will, he then has to bully into following His ways. "

Um, Google it! I eat organic but I admit that "Get Real" is correct. Study after study (by both sides of the coin) have proven this. The fact is, there's no way to grow everything organic and feed the world (because there's not enough land to do so). It's literally not possible, unless a few billion people die.
PS: to give you an idea the entire population of the US is currently just over 300 million... so imagine everyone in the US and China starving to death. That is the reality. "
