Alan was preceded in death by grandfather, Frank Tullio; grandfather, Lester Mills; and cousin, Brian Callahan. Surviving family members are Kathi Tullio of Montrose; father, Frank Tullio of Surprise Ariz.; Bruce Safken of Grand Junction; sisters, Kati (Kevin) Lopez of Surprise, Ariz., Nicole Tullio of Glendale, Ariz.; brothers, Franklin (Lisa) Tullio of Glendale Ariz., Lee Roy Tullio of Montrose. Alan’s pride and joy were his three nephews, Kyler and Kolbi Lopez (Kati) and Kameron Tullio (Nicole); grandparents, Carol and Steve Cave of Montrose, Betty Tullio of Peoria; aunt, Jami Stolfus and uncle, Chuck English; cousin, Amanda and her children, Kianna and William, all of Montrose; and all the family in Arizona and Kansas. This summer, Alan moved back to Montrose to work in Ouray at Papillion Restaurant. He loved his new job and held many positions. Alan enjoyed the beautiful scenery in Ouray. He got the chance to work side by side with his mom; brother, Lee Roy and cousin, Amanda. He was so excited to spend quality time with his family in Colorado this year. Alan you were a beautiful person inside and out; you will be greatly missed by all who knew you.
Funeral services are under the direction of Valley Lawn Funeral Home of Montrose. Visitation will held on Monday, Oct. 12, from noon to 2 p.m., at the United Methodist Church in Olathe. Services will follow the visitation at 2 p.m. Alan will be laid to rest at the Grand View Cemetery west of Montrose at approximately 3:30 p.m. A party to celebrate Alan’s life will be held at the DMEA community room after the service. This will be a potluck dinner, and everyone is invited. A bank account has been set up to off-set funeral expenses at US Bank, 1500 E. Oak Grove Rd., Montrose. A fundraiser to aid in the expenses for Alan will be held Saturday night, Oct. 10 in Ouray at Papillon Restaurant, 630 Main St. thanks to Jody Honold, owner and operator, (970) 325-9971.
