Re: Daily Press, Oct. 1
Yes, let’s thank the Montrose County commissioners for rubber stamping a ‘good project.’

My definition of a good project for Montrose county would be the people of the West End working as contractors to put up and service wind and solar farms. There’s a sustainable job. Our commissioners should be working with Tri-state & DMEA to explore other alternatives similar to the hydro electric project that’s coming.
Clean sustainable energy right here in Montrose County is surely a viable way of job creation. It’s a good idea, or we’ll take a few steps backward and continue down the path of non-sustainable fossil/nuclear development.
I try not to waste my time responding to what is clearly a skewed opinion. I find it disturbing some people want to marginalize peoples’ efforts to keep this valley clean and safe for our future. Fringe groups? We must be a bunch of miscreant selfish types with visions of grandeur. I love the smell of uranium in the morning, don’t you? Don’t forget to thank your local commissioner if you or your loved one becomes ill due to effects of uranium particles after the mill gets rolling.
