Cheryl Christine Jahani, 47, was accused of ramming the vehicle of Kelila Slate Oct. 20, causing Slate, 30, to fear for her life, the arrest affidavit indicated.
Jahani was arrested at her home on LaSalle Road Friday, after the district attorney told deputies to obtain a warrant. She has since been released on a $2,500 bond and formal charges are due by Dec. 3 and she returns to court Dec. 10.

According to the affidavit ” a document laying forth the reasons a law enforcement agency suspects a person of a crime ” Jahani encountered Slate in her car as Slate pulled out of her subdivision.
Jahani reportedly said she pulled in front of Slate’s vehicle and Slate backed up. Jahani got out of her van and stepped in front of Slate’s car.
“According to Jahani, Slate then ‘floored it and hit me,’” Montrose County Sheriff’s investigator Charles Searcy wrote in the affidavit.
