D’Evelyn opened the game by taking the Panthers’ kickoff in for a touchdown. Delta blocked the point-after attempt.
Delta’s defense answered on the next series when D’Evelyn fumbled a pitch out and the ball bounced into the hands of Chad Cromwell who returned the mistake five yards for a tying touchdown. Kicker Ethan Kraii booted the extra point and Delta led, 7-6.

In the closing minutes of the game, with D’Evelyn driving, Delta’;s Nolan Britton picked off an errant pass, sealing the win for Delta. D’Evelyn had seven turnovers, including five interceptions.
Delta will host Pueblo Central at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, in the quarter-finals of 3A play.
