Comprehensive health care

MONTROSE -— Two groups have joined forces in an effort to reduce depression and other mental health conditions in our most influential and developing population — teens.

Friday, the Pediatric Associates announced they would be providing “comprehensive health care” to their patients ages 11 to 18 on-site at their establishments in Montrose and Delta. They have joined together with The Center for Mental Health to provide depression and mental health screening during well-child checkups.

“In our area, understanding the prevalence of mental health problems in youth and getting treatment for them are often worlds apart,” said Jon Gordon, executive director for the center.
