DELTA — A Cedaredge man who previously dismissed his lawsuit against Dr. Sam Jahani filed another complaint last week, this time in Delta district court.

John Moore alleges in a complaint filed Nov. 16 that Jahani with "reckless interest" gave his elderly mother, Dorothy Moore, Oxycontin and morphine.

"My mom was overdose(d)," his complaint read.

Dorothy Moore died Dec. 29, 2008, at the age of 70. "Now I do not have a mom," the complaint said. "I want (justice) for my mom."

The attorney who represented Jahani in Moore's previous wrongful death suit could not be reached for comment by deadline.

John Moore said in his suit that he would consider settling the case for $1 million.

In a letter also filed with the courts, he asked Judge Charles Greenacre to "seize the defendant's passport so he cannot flee the country."
