What the heck has our country come to? Although I was not even born during the last politician ran war, this sure is starting to look very similar. Navy SEALs secretly capture one of the most wanted terrorists in Iraq (the alleged mastermind of the murder and mutilation of four Blackwater USA security guards in Fallujah in 2004). And now three of the SEALs who captured him are now facing criminal charges... for a bloody lip!!?? Please tell me this is some sick and twisted joke

I think the Seals should receive a medal, not a court martial. Better yet, when a terrorist is captured on the battle field, they should just be shot. Obama and the left will not let us fight this war to win. Just sayin... "

In other words some politician is playing games. Politicians and pin heads need to get out of the way of the men doing the job. "

That is the question... AFTER every other news station (but Fox) reported when the assault actually took place. Last time I looked, Fox still had not clarified it (just trying to cause outrage, as usual). However, let's be serious, they never would have gotten into trouble for trying to stop an escape. They probably went to town on the guy and got caught. Not that I hold it against them or even have a problem with it! "

That would not matter to some, but it matters to me a great deal!!!! If he were trying to escape and only got a fat lip instead of DEAD then they should commend these soldiers not punish them!!! That was the part that was confusing me too. I read the article on Fox and it does imply he got it while being captured... but I checked a couple of other news sites and they make it clear he was assaulted AFTER already being in custody.

Although, like you, I really don't care (and he deserved it and worse). But Fox news is not really giving a the whole story... but what's new!? "

He received it AFTER capture... meaning he was assaulted while in custody which is a court martial action. Granted, I really couldn't care less if they hit him... but, if you take the law into your own hands and citizens arrest a criminal and then beat him up, expect the poo-poo to pay you a visit too.
