I heard a song this morning, entitled “Freedom, Family and Faith.” It really struck home with me, as I see those things that have always been the strengths of our country in the past, quickly eroding away. The changes have come slowly, not that apparent maybe at the time, until one day you wake up and there they are. Our freedoms are being taken away, one step at a time. Now the government even wants to take away our freedom of control over our own health care. The family, as we have known it, also is being challenged by the “government.” They are trying to destroy the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman, how we decide to raise our children (can’t spank those misbehaving children anymore) and how our children are being taught in school. The faith that this country was founded upon is being attacked from every side. The powers that be claim we are not a Christian nation. “Christmas” is now a bad word and not being allowed in many schools. They want to even take “In God We Trust” off of our money. History reveals how world powers in the past have gone down the slippery slopes that this country is taking and then they fall. Our only hope is that we stand in the tenants of the constitution, which begins “We, the people of the United States of America.” There is our power. Not the government, but the people “ the people that stand for “Freedom, Family and Faith” and say, “We are as mad as hell, and we’re not going to take it anymore!”
