MONTROSE - Thanksgiving Day at Friendship Hall was filled with an abundance of family, friends and good food.

“I am so thankful to live in a community that comes together to provide such a good Thanksgiving dinner for those that need it,” dinner volunteer Emily Gordon said. “Everyone is so grateful and the place is so welcoming.”

About 1,886 people went through the line at Friendship Hall for the 15th annual Thanksgiving “Friends” Celebration hosted by the Montrose Community Dinners, Inc. It was a slight increase over last year’s 1,824, and within the first hour, hardly a seat was left in the large hall.
