OLATHE — Phebe Eloise Gibbs of Olathe, Colo. passed away Jan. 13, 2010, at the Montrose Memorial Hospital, at the age of 68. Phebe was born Aug. 15, 1941 to Frank and Phebe (Faris) Youngman at Grand Junction, Colo. She spent her childhood in the mountains of Colorado, graduated from high school in Summit County and went on to college at Western State College in Gunnison. Phebe married Donald R. Gibbs on March 2, 1996 in Perry, Ga. and then relocated to Montrose to be closer to family and made her home until her time of death. She was previously married to Nick Campiglia. Phebe and her family traveled extensively being married to a U.S.A.F. officer for 27 years, and had lived as far away as Guam, Maine, Nebraska, Texas, Georgia and then to Montrose, Colo. She had been a member of the First Christian Church in Grand Junction, Colo. and a U.S.A.F. Girl Scout.

Phebe loved to cook, ski, bowl and watch movies. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be greatly missed by them.

Olathe; son, Nickolas Campiglia III of Salche, Alaska; daughter, Brenda Ann Maddox of Warner Robbins, Ga.; brother, Clyde Eugene (Tammy) Youngman of Montrose; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Phebe was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Frank Alan and Edwin Lloyd Youngman.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society, in memory of Phebe Gibbs, 900 S. Broadway, Suite 250, Denver, CO 80209. A memorial service in celebration of Phebe Gibbs was held on Jan. 15, 2010 at Crippin Funeral Home Chapel in Montrose. Arrangements were under the direction of Crippin Funeral Home, 802 E.
