MONTROSE — Bobby Hamedl passed away at home on Jan. 26, 2010, at the age of 43. Bobby was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Baker; father and step-mother, Daniel and Rita Hamedl; and his brother, Jeremy Hamedl.

Bobby was born Aug. 3, 1966 in Tarrytown, N.Y. to Sandra and Daniel. Following his father’s death, Bobby and brother, David, moved to Montrose. Bobby graduated from Montrose High School in 1984. He attended Mesa State earning his degree in Engineering. After working many years with Par Mechanical, Bobby began his own company, Automatic Fire Systems.

Bobby loved rebuilding muscle cars and spending time with his friends. The true joy of his life, however, was his family, who will greatly miss him.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Julie, who loved him dearly; his two children, Seth and Ellie; brother, David of Montrose; brother, Kevin and sister-in-law Allyson of New York; sister, Vanessa Van Horn and brother-in-law Mike of Connecticut; grandmother, Mildred Stirbis, and his aunt, Jean Flournoy, both of Montrose, who were very special to him; and cousins, nieces and nephews. A trust account has been established for his children, Seth and Ellie, at Bank of the West, In Loving Memory of Robert Hamedl, 1105 South Townsend Avenue, Montrose, CO 81401.  

A private visitation has taken place and a celebration of Bobby’s life will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday morning, Jan. 30, 2010, at Grace Community Church.
