The Lady Indians came out a little flat to start the game against a good Grand Junction team, said MHS head coach Eric Sanchez.
Early into the first, Montrose found themselves trailing 9-1, but "rode the ship a bit," he said, and were able to get the ball inside and find their offensive game.

The Lady Indians had three players score in the double digits. Hanna Bowden had 21 points, 11 rebounds and three blocked shots; Kaylee Walker had 16 points and seven rebounds; and Jana Horn had 13 points and seven rebounds.
Montrose has two home games next week. They play Cortez Friday and take on Durango Saturday afternoon.
